Just like most other places in northern India, Agra faces extreme weather.
The weather over here is similar to the typical tropical weather. The
summers here are extremely hot, while the winters are extremely cold.
During the summers, the temperature goes up to as high as 45º C. During
the winters, the temperature drops down to as low as 20º. The place
becomes chilly with strong winds blowing. Often there is a deep fog cover
over the whole place. The rains here are extreme too. Heavy monsoon leads
to the temperature rising when its not raining, and the humidity in the air
is at an all time high.
The summer here are from April to June while the winters last during the
months of December and January. The rains here last from July to
September. Thus, the most advisable time to visit Agra would be in the
winters, when even though its quite cold, the entire atmosphere is one
filled with happiness and warmth.
If you are visiting Agra in the summer, only carry light cotton clothes as
these will be most comfortable. If however, you decide to go in the winter,
warm woolen clothes and anything that will keep you warm are most
advisable. |
